21°13'N 23°18'W - No, we're definitely NOT in the Trade Winds. And we aren't going to encounter any such winds for a long time, if we must believe the stuff people are telling us over our satellite phone: This year presumably the Trade Winds start around 18° North, while we are still at 22°, way north of the Cape Verde's.
But we're doing great, ACTUALLY. (Here's to you, Giannis! Tnx for giving me that friendly call today!)
Again on a reaching spinnaker, we're making good miles, and even in the right direction: straight toward Barbados, and a little more south at times to get us nearer to the Trade Winds, if any.
No more squalls insight now, and I got a good tan already.
Other good news: We finally found our leak (apart from our spare, lousy 'Plastimo' water tank): our now frequently used salt-water pump was dripping into the bilge as well. But above all, I hope to finally be able to have a chat with my love via the Iridium tonight, 'cause I miss her like crazy.
Sadly, I had to close all comments. (Thanks to all the
